easy asian turkey burgers

I’m more of a recipe follower than recipe creator, so I’m extra proud of these turkey burgers I’ve been making lately. They came about all because I had leftover veggies from my CSA that I didn’t know what to do with!

It’s very easy for me to get stuck in a food rut where I make the same things over and over again. I also tend to default into very simple, not exciting meals (this came with mom life). I have my template: meat, veggie, starch and just fill in the gaps. It gets the job done but not too exciting. This turkey burger recipe is an easy rut breaker (hope that’s a real term!). It’s easy to do but still brings a little excitement to your meal. They’re delicious, SUPER easy to make, and you can double the recipe and freeze a bunch for when you’re in a pinch and need a quick lunch or dinner.

Easy Asian Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:

1lb ground turkey
1 egg
1 inch ginger minced
1 clove garlic minced
1 jalapeño, diced
3 scallions (white part), sliced
1 tablespoon liquid aminos or coconut aminos
3 tablespoons almond flour
Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients and cook on a pan (covered) with avocado oil 6 minutes each side.

Serve on a bun or on a salad. It’s great either way! I served mine with a side of roasted Japanese sweet potato fries. I just cut one potato into fry shaped pieces, tossed in avocado and salt, and baked at 400 for 40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
